Brennan Stride
Minotaur

Looking back into the dreary light
back at the monster who wants to fight
drive away, drive away, into the storm
knowing not the deed that you'll perform
as minotaur charges in perfect form

Boom! Lightning strikes the car
heads banging against metal bars
everyone sees the dark of night
above them with no moon to light
the way before them and in the fight

Minotaur is the devils name
killing is the monsters game
dodge the charge, as if the last
seeing nothing, no shadow cast
but a silhouette as if in glass

Honor the killer of the beast
no one ever said the least
no one saw him in the storm
no one saw this hero perform
this great deed during the storm

Dear Dr Anagnos,

Please help me find a teacher for my 6 and a half year old daughter, Helen. She is blind, deaf, and mute. She is also a manner-less savage prone to tantrums and will get angered at anything. The salary is 45$/month. The skills that are required are patience, strictness, respect, and preferably experience. Please respond,

                                                                                                   Sincerely,
                                                                                                      Captain Keller.

teach someone something

One night I taught my brother, Garrison, to tie a loop knot, it was the easiest thing I could think of. My brother was also the one in my family who didn't know how to tie that type of knot, which is why I chose him. The lesson took long if you know how easy it is to tie a knot, and Garrison was to thank for that, as he didn't really catch on 'til the end. Overall, the lesson took about 15 minutes.
